Being a poet is not as easy and as streamlined as you think! To be a great poet you need be great at few things, if not all. Here are some 10 trails that makes you fall into the category of a great poet.
1) You have a candid or gifted imagination
You create a strong and non-succumb imagination through your thoughts. You don’t feel any situation without imagination. That does not make you a superhuman per se, but it gives you a little edge over people who just see! You observe.
2) Poet of fall
You have suffered a strong and deep metal breakdown or depression. You can take out a great poet from a falling human being. But, you cannot take out a falling human being from a great poet. “Poet at your own risk”!
3) You have a sense of aesthetic values
You know what will suits with what! You have this ability to determine the perfect ailment of thoughts and imagination. You can see patterns in things and observe them which normal people can’t.
4) A word player
You always know when to use which word and with utmost beauty and umpteen. You are basically a master in playing with words. You have a word to throw onto for every situation plausible.
5) You toggle between emotions allot
You have this non stereotypical emotional work play going all around the back of your head. You keep playing and juggling with emotions every now and then. At one time you maybe happy and the other, you might go into to surreal saddening limbo.
6) You pin point on lyrics much in a song, rather than its music
You always listen to a song for its lyrics rather than for its music. You tend to defy and critique the lyricist every time you get a chance to do so.
7) You always have a notebook handy
You always keep a note of thoughts, ideas, imagination etc., you are involved in. You have this belief, that you can get a nice poem anytime.
8) You can write your poem any place and any time possible
Your surroundings and atmosphere do not bogs you down to produce your masterpiece. You just write and you love it every time you do. You can write down a beautiful poem, even if you are,well umm… Ahem ahem!
9) You badly wants that, someone should read or listen to your poem –
Though, you ever admit this, but you enjoy sharing your work to others and always love to brag about your own poetry. Even, when people are not interested in listening to your poem, you forcefully asked them to do so.
10) You procrastinate to write your poems allot.
Finally, you always procrastinate your poem writing sessions allot. You do not sit at one place and articulate your poem at one go. You always have some tea break or something.
